From A KITE, the 1998 crime-action OVA directed by Yasuomi Umetsu, Sawa is faithfully recreated through intricate embroidery.

The first release in messa’s MUSE series, which reinterprets characters and worlds from anime, manga, and video games through embroidery.

Based on full-color artwork, the design captures the distinctive flat-color style of 1990s anime through carefully directed embroidery threads, creating depth and dimension. High-density stitching follows the body's contours and movement, with intricate details such as the bends of the thighs and knees and the spaces between the fingers brought to life through the texture of the embroidery.

Red-thread embroidery on both sides of the chest reproduces the original design line art of the Red Crab, Sawa’s gun.

Produced in Kiryu, Gunma, a region renowned for embroidery craftsmanship, the hoodie features an ultra-heavy 12.4 oz brushed-fleece body and flat-seam construction for a clean, substantial finish.
